Amount of the available IPv4 addresses are shrinking drastically, I do see lots of IPv6 activates but the question is whether these activities are really corresponding to the reality in short time. Do you really see any readiness for computer, data communication, telecom vendors, telecom operators, ISP:s, content providers, government agencies, public organizations, private companies, IT consultants, Etc?
In my honest opinion may be some are well-prepared to meet the upcoming situation while others are years behind and the sad part is that some are not paying any attention that now only 6,25% of the IPv4 available for allocation. Didn’t you hear “… we have all the IPv4 addresses we need and no need to rush…”. May be this is a “good strategy”, but one should consider the technology change, get prepared to meet the new customers need, the new business opportunities provided by IPv6 and why not a well planed transition plan to IPv6 before it is too late!
